Brower Propulsion Laboratory R&D is a small design and production facility that caters to designers, engineers, scientists, media entities, artists, and inventors. Specialties include machining, rapid prototyping, CAD, plastic casting and thermoforming, special coatings, custom machinery and robotics, product design, prop and model making, theatrical, special event and museum displays, textile construction, special effects, electronic design and fabrication, sculpture fabrication, and work for aerospace applications.
Its founder, Steven Brower has over 25 years of experience in designing and building instruments, objects, machines, and systems. From its facility at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, BPL R&D has made everything from faux chocolate to space suit parts.
