Set Painters & Sign-Writers, Local 729, is made up of over 900 members who have the unique and creative talents to apply paint, lettering and blend colors on sets and locations for Motion Picture Films and Television. Each of these Artisans and Craft Persons contribute to preserving, promoting and protecting the Interest of all members of Local 729.Set Painters & Sign-Writers is a Local Union chartered in 1953 by IATSE (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees) .
