The Public Health Museum in the Boston area offers a large Collection of Art, WPA Murals, Furniture, Records, Equipment, 1800-1960 Medical Equipment, Books and Ledgers for Rent to the Film Industry. America's First Public Health Museum. Public health is the science of protecting and improving the health of people and their communities, achieved by promoting healthy lifestyles, researching disease and injury prevention, and detecting, preventing and responding to infectious diseases.The Public Health Museum is an independent 501(c)3 organization, housed in the historic Richard Morris building (also known as the Old Administration Building) of Tewksbury Hospital in Massachusetts. The Museum strives to preserve artifacts and records of our nation’s history in public health and serve as a resource to the community to educate and promote public health initiatives that address current health issues.
The Museum is Currently Closed to the Public until Further Notice in an effort to slow the Transmission of the Coronavirus.
