The LA84 Foundation is endowed with surplus funds from the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. Their Mission is to Serve Youth through Sport and to Increase Knowledge of Sport and its Impact on Peoples Lives. The foundation funds youth sports in Southern California, trains coaches, and examines the role of sport in society.LA84 manages and operates one of the largest sport research collections at its Sports Library on-site. The LA84 headquarters is located at the historic Britt Mansion, a colonial revival design built in 1910. Interiors and rooms are vintage Craftsman style.
